Add Superagent to GitHub

Install the GitHub Apps that bring Superagent security checks, contributor trust, and CLA workflows into your pull requests.

Our two GitHub Apps

Superagent Security

For repositories you want Superagent to scan and protect.

  • PR security scan checks
  • Contributor trust signals
  • Repository reports
  • GitHub advisory triage
Install Security

Open CLA

For repositories that need contributor license agreements.

  • CLA checks on pull requests
  • Contributor signing
  • Per-repository CLA templates
  • Agreement coverage enforcement
Install Open CLA

Setup order

Create an account first so your GitHub installations can attach to an organization, repositories, reports, checks, and CLA settings. Start with Security, then add Open CLA only for repos that need contributor agreements.

  1. 1

    Create your Superagent account

Your account is where GitHub installations, organizations, repositories, reports, and CLA templates are tied together.

    Create account
  2. 2

    Install Superagent Security

Choose the repositories you want scanned. Start with only selected repositories unless you intentionally want broader access.

  3. 3

Add Open CLA if you need agreements

Use Open CLA for repositories that require contributor license coverage. Skip it for teams that do not need CLA enforcement.

  4. 4

    Verify repositories in Superagent

Open Integrations to confirm the apps are connected, then Repository to check each repo has the expected security or CLA capabilities.
